Reynella East is a newer southern suburb sitting just east of Reynella, built around Reynella East College and made up largely of family homes from the 1980s onward. It’s a popular suburb for young families and commuters, with a strong school zone and easy access to the Southern Expressway.
The mix of housing here means electrical work varies — older homes often need switchboard upgrades and rewires, while newer builds tend to need data cabling for work-from-home setups and ceiling fan installation. Jake services all of it from his base in nearby Aberfoyle Park.
Safety switch upgrades are one of the most requested services I carry out in Reynella East. The suburb’s large stock of 1970s and 80s homes — many originally built without RCD protection — needs this relatively simple but critical upgrade. I install safety switches on all power and lighting circuits throughout Reynella East homes, usually completing the job in a morning without disrupting your day.
Outdoor lighting is popular throughout Reynella East, where families want well-lit driveways, backyards, and entertainment areas. Being close to Morphett Vale and the southern suburbs, properties here tend to have good-sized outdoor areas. Switchboard upgrades are a regular job in Reynella East, particularly in homes built through the 1970s and 80s. The older fuse boards throughout the suburb were never designed for modern appliance loads — induction cooktops and ducted reverse cycle air conditioning all demand more capacity than original boards can safely deliver. I replace them with modern RCD-protected switchboards.
